Rahul is currently an Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ph.D. Research Interests: Investigating the fundamental role of hydration on ion/solute transport in polymer materials. In particular, I am interested in bridging the physics of ion transport in dry and water swollen polymers to guide the rational design of highly selective membranes.

Education:

  • Postdoctoral Fellow (2022-2025): University of California Santa Barbara
  • Ph.D. (2022): The University of Texas at Austin (Chemical Engineering) - Advisor Benny D. Freeman
    • Ion and water transport in water swollen membrane materials (e.g., ion exchange membranes).
  • B.S. (2016): Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Chemical Engineering)
